My father past away 2/13/03 at the age of 62, and had a lived in girlfirend for 17 years. He left behind a house in Brownwood Texas to us his kid's with no "Will" just verbal. His girlfriend is taking it from us and advoiding us, she lied and said they where married when we went up to barrie my father, my father never mentioned this to no one. Which was strange we soon found out she lied. My mom was married to my dad and had 4 of us, and in 1973 was given a court order for child surport with the State of California. My father never paid a penny. Could my mother have the goverment sieze the house and his retirement for back pay child surport????

In the instance where the husband is the primary caregiver and has been unemployed for some time, what are the chances and circumstances that custody may be awarded to him rather than the mother? And secondly, what are the laws regarding custody and relocation, under what circumstances would the custodial parent be allowed to move out of state?

I have been paying child support for over 10 years and not missed a payment Im currently Unemployed for the last three months and not payed child support since I keep getting letters from the child support office saying that they are going to cancel my drivers licens and hold tax return and take me to court I called them the same day i lost my job to inform them i was unemployed they told me that i need to contact them when i find a new job which i have no problem to do and that i should call them every week to keep them notified of my job search wich i have done and i still keep getting the letters I have contacting the case worker several times but he does not return my calls I have also explained to them when i find a new job that the salary will not be the same But they still expect me to pay the fool amount orderd by the court even though im not working what should i do the told me the case worker is the only one that can help me but he will not return my calls help please

My sister said I might find some help here. I hope so. My wife of 22 years has filed for devorce. The first hearing (90 days later) is Valentines Day; nice huh? She has not for the past four years paid many of the bills. I have 250 examples. She may have a problem with prescription drugs as a result of her taking oxy for three years. We have three children, 11, 12 and 14. I have been doing everything for them since late in October of last year. WE are grandparents who just found out our son signed adoption papers Sept 18th, 2002 so the stepfather of his children could adopt them/ We have not seen the papers but do not beleive there are any provisions for visitation for our son or for us. The mother litterlly lied and blackmailed him into signing. He move to Alaska not quite a year ago. He was three months behind on suppor because the job he was promised didn't start when he thought it would. He had stayed in constant coontact with his kids. He has made 3 visits home since then to see them. She told him that she would have him arrested for non-support and he beleived her. She promised nothing would change, only the childrens last name. He would not have to provide support but could still see his kids and we as grandparents could see them, Obviously he is quite naive but if only he would have let us know we could have advised him. Now she is beginnig to make sounds of with-holding the kids from him, She doesn't like them to call him daddy or him to refer to their stepfather as Ken in front of them. The ages of the children are 9-girl and boy 3 1/2. He has had a good and loving relationship with his children. He did not have the finances to hire a lawyer at the time this was going on. We are afraid she is going to exclude us from their life. Up until now we have been picking up the children once or twice a month. It depends on holidays and if she has plans. Is it too late for us to try to get grandparents visitation rights?

My Granddaughters need your HELP! My daughter has two girls and she lives with her boyfriend. Her frist born has been living with us all her life she will be four in three mo. and her secound born lives with her dads parents. My daughter and the father of her secound born live together and Don't work there SRS cheak is about to stop and she has signed co- guardianship of her secound child to the childs grandparents and will not sigen for her first born and I'm going to fight this because I feel that in the best intreasts of the girls that thay stay together there mother has keeped them apart all this time. Thay both have bi- polar and ADHD and need a lot of help the other grandparents refuse to excepet and get her to a DR. There mother is also bi-polar and has a brain wave disoder I love all of them however I feel that i should fight this so thay stay together and get the med. help thay need.

Hello, my name is amy and here is my story and i hope someone can help me and my young daughter. My daughter was born june 12th 1998 in massena new york, where at the time her father and i resided. When our daughter was 1 month old her father and i seperated, up intill her first birthday i would fight with him to come and see his young daughter, which he seldom did, at the time he had meet someone new and was more foucused on her and her children only, In may of 1999 i married a man that had been there for me and my children for some time and obvisouly spent more time with my daughter then her own father ever did, shortly after we set visitation up through the st lawerence family court, his visitation was set from every wed to thursday every week and so forth for hollidays. from that time i once again was constatnlty fighting to get him to stick with the set plan and always failed, numerous times i called the vissitation unit to complain and was informed you cannot make a father see his child nor take them. my daughter and i dealt with this off and on till she turned 3. In october of 2000 my parents took a transfer to michigan for my dads job security, and offered me and my family to go with them seeing they where my only family and had been there mentally and physically, I aggrred, I did contact her father and informed him of the move and even hand delievered a letter statting our address and new contact phone numbers, (but clearly new we would never hear from him)I have been here since october of 2000 I am now a single mother of three children, In May of 2002 I contacted the support collection unit in Canton new york to see about getting my support raised from 50.00 a month to something a little better seeing our child was now in school and other functions, so of course my child support was raised in june of 2002, In July of 2002 not even a month later i was sereved with pappers saying that my daughters father wantted coustdy of her and her immediatally restored back to new york, not to mention some pretty rude allegations, I immediattally got a attorney and startted with my proof of all allegations he said, which by the way all my stattements where notorized, Of course the first lawyer i had was a male and i honestly beieve him being a father he just didnt do me any justice. so the court appoinetd me another attorney, so far i have gotten many letters notorized statting acctualy facts that i beleieve should of helped me and my daughter by now, But no So far i have been told i have to be the one to compromise and meet in the middle and be willing to give up my hollidays and provide transportation for and given visitaion that might come inthe future. I have spoke with many lawyers by phone and have been asked and told as why? didnt the father start any of this back in october of 2000? why? did he say in open court for support in june that he couldnt pay more support because he was the only one working and supporting a family of 5 because his wife is mentally ill and seeking treatment

I recently took an exam for the MTA Police Dept, New York
in April of 2002 and received a letter from such agency saying that if I was over 35 years of age on April 20,2002, the date of the written exam and not served sufficient time in the Military forces I don't eligible for the job. Now my
situation is that I do work for a law enforcement agency thru the Military and have 24 years of service in which I have not yet retire., I'am 44 years old deducting 6 years as per requirement which brings me down to 38 / falling short 3 years. I know that the announcement for the exam never mention any age requirement which was during December 2000

Hi, I was on SSI from the age of eighteen to 29. I decided to try to work full time because people were putting me down. Soon I was cut of cold turky. Now three years latter I'm out of work have no insurence, and I'm in dessprete need for blood presure pills, acidreflux- pill such as previcid. While working I found that when treated bad, stress made me get sick. I went before a judge and gave her a letter from my boss, who sad I couldn't work full time without SSI and my docter sent a letter saying I couldn't work full time or handle stress type jobs, but still i was denied by judge. All this trouble just because I wanted to try and work. Just because i'm not mental they wont help me and whats more Ive resently been in the emrgencey room for chest pains, and the docter said I'm lucky I didn't get heart damege. I have no job no car and no health insurence and welfare wont give me a medcade because of my partner Roberts income, and what's up with that we're not married, and he can't include me on his work insurence. I don't know what to do I gusse I'll just go down the drain now, because no one will help me reabillitate myself. I can't work being this unwell without medicine I'll have a heartattack and die. Last time my blood pressure was 216/ 124. what's more my boss wont hier me back without me gettin help first.

I have 2 children. Their ages are 7 and 10. My youngest is very sad because he can not defend himself with dad and grandpa. Dad and grandpa yells at both boys they say "sometimes for no reason" and dad pinched my youngest because he threw a rock into the woods after being asked not to. Grandpa pinched my youngest because he was not ready for school in time. About 2 years ago grandpa shoved my youngest because he did not like the way he said something to grandpa. I said something to dad on the phone after a child protector asked me to call dad up and talk to him and dad just hung up on me. I know what will happen next. When dad see my youngest boy he will lecture him for about 30-60 minutes. I have been through this with their dad for 13 years. Dad is a VERY controlling person. How on God's green earth do I protect my children. My oldest is not effective by this situation but it is killing my youngest and me as well. I raised them and protected them up until I made my husband leave the house. He is defenetly using the children to hurt me. I am not the only person who sees it. My youngest child does not want to go because dad and grandpa yells and he and his brother are not allowed to go out side unless they are going to Gator's Dock Side(a bar). I think child support arrears are out of control. They charge to much. This has ruined my life and I'm sure others lives as well. I want to make a difference. I just don't know how to get started. Even people who are dramatically behind on their taxes has a once in awhile chance to pay less to get the situation aleviated. In California they have an amnisty or what ever.... evidently it works. Why can't we apply this idea to some people who is behind on child support arrears. I'm a single father to two inocient son's who have nothing to do with my other family. I have already paid off the principal. The arrears is affecting our quality of life to the point that is pitiful. I can see where this problem can distroy many families. Any time I hear people wanting to make others suffer because they have suffered, saddens me. The correct answere it to make the situation better not cause more grief. I have a question about discrimination at a workplace because a person has a terminal communicable disease. If this person knowingly started working at a job with this type of medical situation, and an employer finds out, can the employer then tell other employees about this person's problem? If the employer feels like the person with the medical situation is a health threat to employees and potential customers, then shouldn't the employer find a position at the job for this person to perform that would not be considered hazardous to other employees or any potential customers? If the employer chooses to tell other employees about this person's medical situation and the employees then make the person with the medical situation so uncomfortable at work with their opinions or beliefs about this person, that this person decides to leave the job, then doesn't this make the employer liable to that person for telling personal medical information about one of their employees to other employees? This is in NC and I am wondering if there are any laws to protect a person's right to medical privacy and laws against medical discrimination or any kind of discrimination so long as a person can perform his/her job without endangering themselves or others? Hello my name is Billy. I am having trouble with my ex girlfriend not letting me see my 3 yr old son. We were never married. We have already been to court once over vistitation. But here is the catch ever time we go to court her mother is standing right beside her. More less telling her what to say. Can i have her put out of the court room while the proceeding is going on so she cant tell her what to say. At our last court hearing the jugde asked my ex if she had any suggestions to visitation and her mother jumped in and said we would like for him to give us a 24 hr notice. At that time she was only 17. And when he does come to see his son he cant leave with him. Well i had no lawyer was it stupid of me to agree to that. Any way i done as they said with the 24 hr notice called and everything, but they always made up excuses for me not to be able to see him. Hello, I am a 24 year old mother of 2 beautifull children. My husband tried to committ suicide May 1, 2001 and he is now in a nursing home. He is comatose. He was in the hospital for almost a month on life support, while in there, the social worker told me to file for Medicare and Social Security, so I did. I have been getting his social security since Nov of last year. The nursing home is now informing me almost a year later that I am suppose to be giving all his SSI to them for co-payments. I called and spoke with his case worker she too told me the same thing. This if the first I had heard about this. Now I owe almost $6000.00 in past due co-pays. I have been to DHS for some assistance and they won't help me. My kids' get $54. a month a piece SSI. I have all these bills that he left me with. One creditor is garnishing my check. The nursing home is about to sue me and I am getting alot of bills that the Medicare doesn't cover. I can't pay all this. I have been at my job for over 2 years and make decent money, but I am paying almost $600 a month in child care. I have contacted several attorneys and they say "I'm very sorry to hear your situation, but I don' know what to tell you." I don't know what to do, but I can't take all this stress. On top of all that my son has been dignosed with ADHD and Bi-Polar and goes to counseling once a week and has been on several medications. He was kicked out of preschool last year and now is in Kindergarten and so far there hasn't been any big problems. I am a good mother and I take excellent care of my kids'. I don't understand all this and I am in need of some help, but I don't know where else to go. I have exhuasted all my options. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

So i took on two jobs and im still trying to go to school. It's so hard to keep up. Eddie does see dylon everyday, and i would never try and keep Dylon away from his daddy. i am 16 years old and live with both of my parents and a younger brother who is 7 years old. my dad has been disabled and out of work for almost 7 years. he is very lucky to still be here with us considering the types of accidents he has had. in 1995 while he was cutting trees, one came back and crashed down on him. he was out of work for 6 years and never could draw anything from social security disability. this means my brother and i had to do without alot of things that kids need. my mom worked and did the best she could but it still did not bring much money into the household. he finally was able to go back to work and after 2 days of being onthe job (working with his brothers) he fell through a roof 13 feet onto concrete. well here he is messed up again and we are doing without AGAIN. he has been diagnosed with RSD. the future is very unsure for my family. is there some type of funding that is avaliable for my brother and myself as we are having to do the best we can again. my mom and dad go to alot of doctors visits and this takes up alot of their time. they try very hard to keep some type of normalcy for us but it is getting very hard for them to do. please advise me on which way to turn as far as some financial assistance for the minors in my family. my mom has tried to get government assistance to help but it seems as though they will not help the honest people and my parents are not going to lie just to get a 200 dollar check for the family. please help my brother and myself. i hope to go to college one day but that seems unrealistic at this time in my life.

My husband & I have been separated for 2 yrs. I always thaought we'd work it out and get back together. No children living at home. Now he wants to file for divorce. I am self emplayed and due to fires and 9-11 have had a terrible 2 years financuilly. i am a 19 year old student whose sister is in the process of getting a Divorce. She has a 12 year old daughter who is in the middle of everything that has been going on. My sister and her husband agreed for their daughter to come up from Marryland to West Virginia to live with my mother until the Divorce was final, they both signed a paper letting my mother to have custody of her grand daughter. Well she moved up here in December 2001 until June of 2002, she then went to see her mother and ever since then we have not been able to get her back up here with us.
When we call my sister she always has he phone off and the only way we can get a hold of her is if we call her at work. She then tells us that Autumn is at work with her and she doesn't want to talk to us.
Last week my mother talked to my sister's husband and he told my mom that Autumn told him that the man who my sister is living with is very mean to her, and she is very scard of him. In the meantime my sister is also having a child with this man who she is living with, and her divorce is not even final yet. I have looked up the laws for MD and they say that the have to be separted for 1 year before they can file for their divorce. i would like to know if there is anything we can do since they signed that paper for Custody of Autumn to come live with us, if we can go down to MD and get her.

i made a mistake thinking i had something in my car when it wasnt, i added it to a report because my car was broken into, 24 hours later when i found the item in my house i went to the police dept to have it taken off the report as missing, and the cops took me to jail for filing a false report..what nerve is that. not to mention i didnt post bail until 25 hours later and during that time they gave me no food and held me in a cement cell with a mouse and big cock roaches! i also have black and blue wrists and one wrist was even bleeding from the hand cuffs being so tight. i have no feeling in my right hand on my ring finger and my pinky finger up half my arm, its been almost 2 weeeks and i still have bruises, i took photos right away, but is there any thing that can be done about any of this, i am not a criminal and can not believe how un human i was treated and they want to put me in that place for 6 months as a sentance for this ridiculas charge.

I hired an divorce attorney about a eight months ago. She required a reatiner for $2,500.00. I paid the retainer. She sent a billing statement whcih displayed what she had currently billed me for her services. The billing statement showed that I have approximatley $1,800.00 left in my account. My wife and I have resloved are problems. I forward a letter to the attorney informing her that her services were no longer needed and I would appricate a refund of my $1,800.00. She never replied to my letter. I contacted her via telephone and left a message. She returned my call and ask me if I read the contract that I signed. I returned her call and left a meassage that from what I read all funds would be returned within 48 hours. She has not returned my telephone call. My question is if you retain a lawery and you in good faith submit a retainer and there is a remaining credit why by law is she not obligated to refund my monies? My mom has full custidy of me and my sister. Shes 18 and im 15. My mom and all of my family live in South Carolina.Except my Dad and my stepmom, and little sister,and me. Me and my sister came to vist my dad in C.A., the summer of 99'. My dad talk me in to staying with him. Then we all went back to S.C. Christmas of 00'. I wanted to stay with my mom.My dad did not want me to stay. But i did. Then i came back to vist my dad the summer of 01'. The whole time i was with him he was telling me he was going to make me stay with him and never let me go back.When i went back in July of 01' some things happened and my mom sent me back to my dad. NOw i really want to go back home. My mom also wants me to come back to live with her. But my dad wont let me he wont even let me vist. So since my mom has custidy of me, shouldn't i be able to go back to live with my mom even if my dad doesn't want me to? He has also said to me that since i have be with him for twenty four hours he now has custidy of me. Is that true? I really need some answers, because i dont want to live with my dad. I want to be back where i belong and that place is with my mom and the rest of my family.

I don't know where to go with this, because laws are different for different state's: In my divorce papers is states that my kids Dad has to pay child support till the age of 18 years old, and my kids are 18 and 19years old and both in college, I work full time and my kids work part time. My 18year old has Sever Hemophillia so its hard for him to work alot.... My problem is my kids dad feel he should not have to pay child support now that they are 18years old. We can't make it and from what I hear in Washington state a Father has to pay Child support as long as that child is in school????????? My fiance has sole leagal custody, and sole residental custody of his 5 yr old son. I guess first off i want to say my fiance, and i are soul mates, we finally found each other in our 30s. We are very blessed each day with the love in our lives now. When we started dateing, and i entering his son's life his ex wife lived in P.A. They had joint parenting till his son started school then it was to be decided where he should live. My fiance drove all the way to get him on his visitation times (3hours one way) because his ex had her licences taken away. At some point they started meeting some what half way. His ex re-married, and had two boys in diapers. It's a long story, a life i would not want, but she needs to make better choices in her life because each one effects her children. Anyways when we took his son back after a weekend visitation, his son would cry so hard. I am a teacher so i have been around children, and have learned so much from them, and about them. I told my fiance something wasn't right. I felt something had to do with his step father, but i couldn't figure it out. One time when the step father came to get him, no mother or other sibilings, his son was purple from screaming he didn't want to go. My heart was broken, and i told my fiance we have to do something. We set up appts. for a counciler, and we found out he was hit in the head by his step father, he is afraid of him. If anyone could be around this little boy, he is over friendly, and no one has the right to hit a child, but he is truly special. I take the time to explain to him why not to do things, or the consequences if he does, and he listens, and he don't do things. Anyways, she was going to divorce him, not over him hitting him, but who knows why she was. She moved in with another guy, and is still not divorced, and now she is thinking about going back. We have worked well beyond our schedules for her, and he messed up life, but when she said that, my fiance didn't want to let him go back to her if she was going back to him. The little boy said he don't want to live there, and has been around the arguing they have done with their other sons. She had told him he is mean, and now she don't understand why we are fighting about him not going with her. I have tried to tell her if she wants to go back then go, but leave him here for this month, and she can have him every other weekend. She signed for my fiance to have sole leagal custody, and she said's it's because we would of used it against her about her divorcing now. We called our attorney, and he was NO help at all, and now we are getting another attorney. Her life is unstable, she has moved 12 times in 4 yrs. We only want to know what our rights are, we have never denied her visiations, and believe me we have gone beyond what we should do to accomadate her, but this is the line. I am afraid of the little one getting hurt again, and he is scared, not to mention confused by it all. My fiance, and i don't have any other children, and he gets our full attention with us. His ex saids he wants to stay here cause of all the fun stuff. We are middle class people, we can't afford disney land, but i tried to explain to her it is because he is the only one here, and she has two younger ones that take alot of attention. It's like talking to a wall, but i am truly inlove with my fiance, and his son has become part of me, he calls me mommy from time to time. We have a good family, but we work hard at it. I teach school and was wrongful terminated and retaliated against at my job, so I found an attroney to take my case, we agree on $1000.00 and he receive 40% of the settlement.
The lawyer ask me to drop the termination part and stated we had a better chance with retalition so I said ok.
After waiting 10 months and two weeks he change his mine about repersenting me and return my information with no money. Two days later his office called and stated they had my check and I ask to speak to the attroney but he is always busy;I've made several attempts to reach him.
What legal recourse do I have seeming that I had only one year from the date of the claim to file?
Because teaching is almost a seasonal start and I've look for employment in other places with no luck, I embeded myself with bills trying to hang on for the new school year which I have found employment for the new school term starting in August 2002.
Now I'm stuck with trying to find an attroney with no job or money with August being my dead Line.

I am a doctoral student at a local university. Midway through the program my adviser, added additiona course work to my Plan of Work. These additional courses added not only a financial burden to me but required more time to complete the coursework. Now I am not beinng given a time extension to finish. I have a dissability covered under the the Americans with Disabilites Act and I am a minority. I feel the advisor set me up to fail. Do I have any legal recourse? I have just recently had to go through something I never hoped I would have to encouter. I have a 14 year old daughter he was sexually assuted by a 27 yr old man. I have pressed charges, but this took place at a summer party, family gatherings for alot of people. My question is can I file a law suite against the people who gave the party? There was alot of adults there including the people who gave the party that saw this going on, no one stopped it. She had went with freinds and some church memebers. I have custody of my two daughters. My ex-wife and I were divorced when my youngest was 6 months old due to infidelity (to the point that it is not positive that my youngest is biologically mine except in my heart). She willingly gave me custody due to the fact that her lifestyle was not appropriate for children. She says that it was because she was sick and did dent know she had Lupis, but when a woman leaves two children lock in their high chairs unfed and unchanged screaming all day while she sleeps 5 feet away; and then come evening she feels better and goes out to party I see that as a little more the a illness. Any way I have had one girlfriend in the last 2 years of which it only lasted 6 months. You see she abused my oldest daughter once while I was at work, and due to my ignorance and how the situation was handled social services took my oldest away. Now since then it was determined by a court that I was negligent in my duties as a father, but not a guilty party nor a improper caretaker and I am now getting her back. My ex-wife has no decent income, she lives with her parents and boyfriend who take care of everything including the lawyer fees (I live on my own in my own house and I support my self). She and her mother are heavily medicated; she has no high school diploma or GED. She had been behind and delinquent with child support since day one, although I have not pressed charges. She has spent less than a month and a half with the girls in the last year and a half, and a year ago moved to Texas, also there are no set guides in the divorce for visitation except state standard and I have done all in my power to let her see them. She dose dope, but I have no physical proof (have seen the parifinalia though after the separation), and due to the type of people her family are (gamblers, alcholics, mental disabilities, ECT.) I do not feel the children would be in a very good environment. Now because of the abuse incident she now wants to fight for custody.
Now that I have painted the picture with out getting into too much detail here are my questions:
1: How will the court view my possion as a single male with two daughters?
2: How will the court handle the fact that I had a girlfriend who abused my oldest, and who is no longer around? And no other indolence’s of mal-care?
3: What would be the best approach to win and keep my children?
4: How will the courts view her and her living arrangements compared to mine?

He does pay the court ordered child support, it comes out of his check every week. In the state of kentucky People who file for a divorce and is granted so. They have to go to a parenting class at a local path ways. He has done so. He also has court standard visitation, plus open visition , and joint custody. His ex wife has failed to let him have his visitation that she aggreed to when they carried out there divorce. She has blocked all phone numbers he has called from to ask to see his daughters. She has went as far as blocking all phone numbers of his know affileates. she has blocked pay phone numbers and my work number.When she found out that he wouldn't give up on getting his visitation's, she call forward her tellaphone number to a local information number that give current event's that is yet to accure with in the comunity, and that gives time, date, and temperature updates. Call forwarding allows all incoming calls to the number that the calls are forwarded to,to bypass the actuall number and sends to a differnt place or phone number. When that didn't work due to her family having difficulties reaching her, she changed her telephone number and unlisted her knew number to keep my fiance and his family from reaching her to see the girls.we need help fighting the common wealth court system we have here. But we can not afford to pay for an attorney. can you help or point us in the right way

My fiance has had full custody of his 3 children. His first childs mother was abusing drugs and left the kid at her mothers house for about a year. When my fiance found out he filed for custody. She was upset and made up a story that he had sexually molested his daughter. She had coached the child to say that her daddy touched her private areas. Well as it turned out they found out that she was forced to say these things and the father was awarded custody. She lost her rights because she never followed through with rehab. Now she has been clean and demands all these rights. I feel that she put her daughter through so much emotional and mental abuse that she should not have any say in anything. The daughter is now 12 and she does not want her in her life. Is there a law that says she has to go if she doesn't want to? Why does our laws let people slander someone and then later get what she wants? Sure she wants us to forgive her for her drug use and abandonment, and she is granted visitation rights. What about the child and the father who were mentally damaged from this where are his rights? Also he has 2 other children who he has full custody of and his ex wife abandoned the two children when the youngest was a couple months old. Why do thes women feel they can emotionally scar these children and then walk right back in their life as if they did nothing. Never have to pay more than 50.00$ in child support. She never calls them maybe a couple times a year then wants them to come stay the summer in Idaho when we live in Washington. The children are fed up with her and have decided not to go visit her anymore. So do they have those rights not to go over to their real mothers home? They are 7 and 8. She has told me I need to make them go and I told her I will not force them to go if they dont want to they dont have to, and she said their a little young to make decisions. I told her then you come force them to go kicking and screaming. Shwe said I will be talking to my lawyer. We are confused we are not keeping her from the children they dont want to go. What rights do children have when this kind of thing happens? Please anyone with any information please let me know.

Me and my ex have a child in common, and both our names are on the birth certificate. He drank all the time when we were together. He slammed into a tree when I was about 2 months pregnant. He has drove our daughter around when he was drunk and I was working. And right after we split up he was under the influence and tried to take her from me, and he ended up dropping her on the porch to stranggling me. I called the cops and made a report but didnt press charges is there any way i can go back and press charges? I am also afraid to let him take her for weekends in fear of what could happen to her. I have been having some trouble with the school my 13-year-old son attends. He is in trouble at school atleast once or twice a week for being rebelious, skipping classes, excet. I have FULL LEAGAl CUSTODY of him. When he gets in trouble the School will NOT contact me at work OR home. They leave messages for my mother on my answering machine. I have gone to the school to tell them to call me at work, but they still don't contact me. Is there any thing I can do about this? My mother doesen't have ANY custodial rights. My husband has a child from a previous relationship. Once the mother of the child found out we were getting married she put him up for child support. We do not mind paying but she has never been in daycare before(grandma watches her)and 2 days before the court date she put her in daycare causing the amount to go up. We were granted visitations but the mom never lets her stay the full time and just recently she did not show up for a visit she said she had something to do. We called the daycare and the director said the mom took the child out of daycare. Is there some type of documentation we can ask for proving her daycare status because we think she just enrolled her for more money. What are the rules for joint custody or maybe for the summer visitation? She is 2 years old every other weekend is not enough for a father.

I've negotiated a 50/50 coustody agreement in the state of Ny with an equil housing agreement and no support payments to be paid by either party.I live up to that agreement,in every way, as a mater of fact it is more like 70/30 in my faver,meaning that my daughter is at my home far more than she is with her mom. The "X" moves to PA (6 miles away). She takes me to court in PA for child sopport and wins,with out changing the coustidy or the residency agreement.My question is : Can the state of PA over rule the desicion of the NY court? I actually am the exact opposit of a deadbeat dad
